The new
Land Rover Discovery Sport will be here having made
its public debut on the 2014 Paris Motor Show - both within the show hall and
outside for the River Seine. The car was shown to the public for once on a huge
80-metre long barge on the River Seine before main event. The
Discovery Sport is for sale now with prices starting from £32, 395.

The new Selection Rover line-up is complete (for now…), as
you move the first of the new Terrain Rover Defenders won’t make production
until at the very least 2018. But this replacement for that Freelander is the
first of at the very least three models in the brand new Discovery family, with
a new version from the current, larger Discovery due for you to debut in 2016.
More controversially, there’s no new Ingenium family engine
beneath bonnet, initially at least. Alternatively, the Disco Sport launches
along with just the 187bhp 2. 2-litre SD4 engine used elsewhere within the
Jaguar Land Rover range.
It drives via a slick nine-speed auto or six-speed handbook,
four or two-wheel-drive transmission, but emissions of 157g/km along with a
claimed average of 46mpg usually are nothing spectacular. Wait until afterwards
next year, though, and you'll have a Sport with the brand new eD4 turbodiesel
and emissions from around 119g/km.
One engine and two gearboxes usually are initially offered
with prices between £32, 395 to £42, 995 but the eD4 diesel will arrive later
in 2015 with a price tag under £30, 000.
At launch it will have four trim levels to choose from – SE,
SE Tech (when navigation becomes standard), HSE and HSE Lux – with prices
between £32, 395 to £42, 995.
The
Land Rover Discovery Sport looks more rounded in the flesh
than in these photographs - with some stunning detailing around the front
lights (with new BROUGHT ABOUT signature), creases along the sides and the
number plate recess for the boot. But it’s the proportions and stance from the
car that stand out most – this can be a car with all the family members
friendly features you’d expect of the Discovery, but with a brand new sense of
style and, because the name suggests, sportiness.

The within design is dominated by vertical elements – an
element of the new Discovery family – with the information McGovern describes
as a “premium, although rugged” style. There’s some scrumptious detailing
again, like the ribbed leather for the seats inspired by high-end observe
design.
Versatility remains an important Breakthrough philosophy and
there’ll be seven seats in all of the UK Sports – although the rearmost seats
are simply suitable for children, young teens or small older people – and
numerous clever cubbies within the cabin.
Tech plays a big part inside with the all-new infotainment
system featuring a eight-inch touchscreen which operates as being a smartphone
with swiping and ‘pinch in addition to zoom’ functionality.
Land Rover Discovery Sport -
Land Rover’s InControl apps
feature everything from Internet radio to sat-nav, there’s on-board WiFi and
you will specify a 17-speaker Meridian sound system, And two main analogue
instrument dials is usually a five-inch TFT screen, which demonstrates key
information, including off-road setting.
